Roamix is a free app with no purchases, no ads, and no account. These terms are the agreement between you and Maxwell Commer for using it. By downloading or using Roamix, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
What Roamix is
Roamix is a personal travel-replay app that turns your own photos, location history, and Health workouts into maps, flythroughs, and shareable memory reels — all on your device. It is provided for your personal, non-commercial enjoyment.
Roamix is completely free. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase, no unlockable paid tier, and no advertising. We will never ask you for payment inside the app.
Your licence to use Roamix
Maxwell Commer grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Roamix on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service and the Usage Rules in Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not copy, sell, sublicense, rent, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except to the extent that such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law.
Your responsibilities
- Use Roamix only with content and data you have the right to use, and only in ways that are lawful where you are.
- Keep your device and its operating system up to date; Roamix targets current versions of iOS and may not behave correctly on older or modified systems.
- Understand that any memory reel or image you choose to export and share is yours to share responsibly — including respecting the privacy of anyone else who appears in it.
- Don’t rely on Roamix for navigation, safety, emergency, medical, or other critical decisions. It is a keepsake, not a live-mapping or safety tool.
Your content stays yours
Roamix claims no ownership of your photos, trips, routes, or the reels you make. They are yours. Because everything is processed and stored on your device, Maxwell Commer neither receives nor holds any rights to your content.
Not affiliated with Google or Apple
Roamix is an independent app. It is not created, endorsed, sponsored by, or affiliated with Google LLC or Apple Inc. “Google,” “Google Timeline,” “Google Photos,” “Apple,” “Apple Maps,” and related marks belong to their respective owners. Roamix can read a data export you request from Google and can display Apple Maps, but that is the extent of the relationship. Any reference to those services is for description and compatibility only.
Apple App Store terms
You obtained Roamix through Apple’s App Store, so Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”) also applies and is incorporated into these terms. Its full text is available from Apple at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. In particular, and to summarise the parts that matter:
- This agreement is between you and Maxwell Commer only, not Apple. Maxwell Commer — not Apple — is solely responsible for Roamix and its content.
- Your licence to use Roamix is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control and is governed by the Usage Rules in Apple’s Media Services Terms.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for Roamix; that is Maxwell Commer’s responsibility, to the extent any support is offered at all.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple provides no warranty for Roamix. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (which for Roamix is zero); beyond that, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- Maxwell Commer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to Roamix — including product-liability, legal or regulatory, and consumer-protection claims, and any claim that the app infringes someone’s intellectual property.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting,” and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and upon your acceptance Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Provided “as is” — no warranty
Roamix is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Maxwell Commer does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that maps, place names, dates, or reconstructed routes will be accurate. Some jurisdictions don’t allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maxwell Commer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) Roamix — even if advised of the possibility. Since Roamix is free, and to the extent any liability cannot be excluded, Maxwell Commer’s total liability to you for all claims will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the app (which is zero) or, where required by law, the minimum amount permitted. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you, and you may have rights that these terms cannot override.
Changes to the app and these terms
Maxwell Commer may update, change, or discontinue Roamix or any of its features at any time. These terms may also change; when they do, the updated version will carry a new effective date. Continuing to use Roamix after a change means you accept the updated terms. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where the App Store terms or mandatory local consumer-protection law provide otherwise.
