TERMS OF USE

Samatic is made by Maxwell Commer, and these terms are between you and him. Apple is not a party to them, has no responsibility for this app, and is under no obligation to support or maintain it. Your licence to use the app is the one Apple grants with everything on the App Store — the Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement — and nothing printed here is meant to contradict it. Where these terms and that agreement disagree, that agreement wins.

The licence is personal to you, and to Apple devices you own or control. Do not sell it on, rent it out, redistribute it, or take it apart to make something else from it.

Put your own photographs in it, or ones you have the right to show. The machine cannot tell the difference and does not look.

It is a machine for looking at photographs and it is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. It is not somewhere to keep anything: your pictures live in your photo library, which is where they are looked after, and nothing here is a backup of them. So far as the law allows, the maker is not liable for any loss arising out of using it — including loss of pictures, which the app has no way of causing, since it only ever reads them. Nothing on this sheet takes away a right the law where you live does not let you sign away.

Apple, as a third-party beneficiary of these terms, may enforce them against you.

These terms change only when the app does, and the leaflet inside the copy you are holding is the one that applies to it. This page is the current sheet.

NOTICES

SAMATIC is not made by, endorsed by, or associated with Eastman Kodak Company or with any other manufacturer of photographic equipment. The machine drawn in the app is an homage to the rotary-tray projectors of the nineteen sixties and seventies. The name, the badge and the model number are our own, and no manufacturer’s trademark or letterform is reproduced.

Apple, iPhone, Apple TV and iCloud are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the United States and other countries. This app is not made by Apple and is not affiliated with it.

Every surface and every sound in the app is drawn or synthesised by it as you use it. No photograph, recording, typeface or texture is bundled with it or licensed from anyone. The type is set in faces that ship with the system.
